FAQ
Questions, Answered
The honest comparison is not against one competitor. It is against the four ways people handle trees today.
What is Treelyon?
Treelyon is a spatial intelligence company building the measured data layer for living systems, starting with the world's trees. We capture the real physical and biological state of individual trees and turn it into a queryable record of each tree as a measurable asset.
What does spatial intelligence for living systems mean?
Spatial intelligence is AI that understands the physical, three-dimensional world rather than language. Treelyon applies it to living systems: rather than generating environments, we measure the real geometry and biological state of actual trees at asset-level resolution.
How is Treelyon different from a world model?
World models imagine a scene; they do not measure a specific real place, and you cannot underwrite or operate against a generated forest. Treelyon's data is measured ground truth of real trees, the input those models lack.
What does the Treelyon platform do?
It turns raw 3D sensing into a structured record of every tree. Upload a point cloud, have it segmented into labeled objects, and ask questions in natural language. The same data powers risk and value scores through an API.
What data sources does Treelyon use?
Treelyon fuses remote sensing, in-situ ground sensors, and citizen-science observations into one record per tree. Airborne environmental DNA detection is in development.
Who uses Treelyon?
Cities and large landholders manage trees as measured assets. Insurers, utilities, and lenders query the same data for risk and value scoring. Developers and AI teams use it for measured 3D ground truth, and citizens contribute through a free app.
Is Treelyon free to try?
Yes. Developers can upload and query a point cloud for free, cities can run a free satellite analysis, and anyone can contribute through the free app. The risk and value API is arranged through a direct conversation.
What is a tree as a measured asset?
It means treating each tree as an economic asset with measurable attributes, structure, species, health, risk, and value, recorded precisely and tracked over time.
How accurate is Treelyon's data?
Treelyon locates and measures individual trees at sub-10cm positional accuracy, with attributes confirmed against ground observations. A UK deployment achieved 94% root-zone accuracy.
